Michael J. Owen sent in this tribute and rides for:

Senior Airman Daniel J. Johnson, USAF EOD,   KIA October 5th 2010.

Airmen Johnson was assigned to the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. Dan was disarming an IED near Kandahar Afghanistan to ensure the safety of his fellow heroes fighting the Taliban when the device detonated taking his life.  "Dan died not just defending the United States, but also the entire world against those who use terror to impose their will upon others," "He died doing a job he enjoyed and serving a country he loved so that others may live in peace and freedom." Dan leaves behind a loving wife (Kristen) of only four months  We thank Dan and his family for his service and sacrifice, Thank you and GOD Bless

Maj. Zed Cawthon U.S.Army (Ret) and former RD2 U.S.  Sends this tribute, he and his friends did much for us on the ground.   Zed Said "I went through flight school with "Ike" Cavin and Paul Driscoll.   Named my first son "Cavin".  My wife attended Paul's Funeral Mass. They came through Marble Mountain (282d Black Cats) a couple weeks  before they were killed.    The most rewarding  thing I did In Vietnam was to med-evac  (too many)  Marines out of Hue, Khe sanh, and other points of interest all over I Corp. "

Thank you to Zed, Ike and Paul and their family's for all they have done for us and Our Family's.

RICK HOCEVAR Is riding in the memory of Geronimo, William and Charles. He said the following in his request "They died together and ironically they are together on the wall. Always remembered never forgotten. It’s like it was only yesterday we were together, but it has been 40 years" Our thanks to Rick and our prayers for the families of the fallen hero's. God Bless and thank you for your service .

FFCHIEF will be riding to the wall in honor of his older brother, Richard G. Clark, Army,  2/34th Armor Division, the Dreadnaughts,  KIA January 8th, 1967 during "Operation Cedar Falls" in the Binh Duong Providence. Stoney, your brothers and sisters from Arizona have not forgotten you. You are in our thoughts every day. We miss you.    Stoney we keep you and your family in our prayers as you look down on us while we ride in your memory, Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Gene in 1961

Dan Farren Is Riding In the memory of Gene Winters: Would like to submit a tribute for Gen Winters, my neighbor who was called home on November 16th, 2010.

Gene's obituary states "He was a very affectionate, honorable man of God
that believed in certain priorities.  In all things, he put God first,
treasured his family, served his country and encouraged everyone he
touched."  This is an understatement!  Gene's personal motto was: "Above
all things, make sure your heart is right with God."
It was a privileged and an honor to know Gene, a patriot, a leader who's
calm, cool demeanor would always provide strength no matter what the
world could throw at him.
As we ride across this nation on the 2011 Run, I will honor the memory
of this great man -- a Man of God, a Patriot, a friend.  Rest in peace
Gene, you are not forgotten. Thank you to Gene and his family for the service
and sacrifice given for our country, God Bless and thank you also to Dan.
